At the Market

Queen Victoria Market is just a short walk from our house.  It opened in 1878 and is the shopping mecca for Melburnians.  It has anything and everything that one would need.  It covers more than seven hectares and has over 1000 traders that sell their goods.  It's much like Granville Island in Vancouver or Pike Place Market in Seattle but on a grander scale.  On Sundays, the whole area takes on a carnival atmosphere.
