Highlights of 2007

Bennett

I've made great gains this year. Hats off to my OT (Melissa), my PT (Alison) and SP (Sheila). I moved from the Racoom Room to the Pickle Room at school without a hitch. My friends William, Ghaid and Sarah are always fun to play with. I like all my teachers too - Christina, Racquel, Sarah, Lynn, Angila, Andrea, Angie and Kitty. I give them lots of hugs, hi's and bye's. My ankle braces were decreased in height too this year. I still suck my thumb a little too much for everyone's comfort so my parents give me a "hot thumb" every once in a while (Louisiana hot sauce spread over my thumb). I enjoy wrestling with my dad, playing outside, going for walks, watching Mighty Machines and playing with all sorts of trucks and cars. I'm a real boy's boy!! One of my favourite activities is going to the pool and the beach. Check out the video of me jumping into the pool.

Hi! I'm a fourth grader now and I love x-box 360 and my Nintendo DS! I also had a lot of fun going to Camp Firwood. I also went to my Grandma's house. I swam across Lake McMurray and entered into the Skagit Valley Tulip Run, and won!! At my Grandma's house, I added another slip and slide to the others. I had lots of fun at my dad's house when I played with my new friends Emily and Jane. I also went to soccer camp with Emily and Jane too. I also went to tennis camp. It was sort of fun. I also enjoy swimming with my dad at the pool. I really like jumping off the five meter diving board. My favorite colors are blue and black. I love my hamsters Chrysanthemum and Marshmellow.

I was hoping to go to skim boarding camp at the end of August, but I missed because I had to go to the hospital with what we thought was appendicitis. These pictures are from 2006.

What a great year! I had one of the best fishing seasons ever. We caught almost 300,000 lbs of sockeye salmon. I've loved spending time with Bennett, watching him grow and mature into his own little self. I always enjoyed Madelynn's visits, especially when she stayed for the whole month of August. I took a few interior design courses at BCIT which was lots of fun, but also a lot of work. I made improvements on the treehouse and the lake property whenever I got the chance. I passed the written portion of my motorcycle license and am looking forward to getting my full license at some point in the future. I've been busy planning our trip to Hawaii and Australia next summer. Can hardly wait for the arrival of our newest addition - our little girl Glenn Gabrielle.

Could 2007 be the year that I finally finish school?? NOT!! But I did manage to pass my obstetric and gynecology exams, meaning that I'm now a full fledged obstetrician/gynecologist! I finished residency at the end of September, and worked for the months of October and November. Over the summer, we enjoyed visits from my parents, my uncle and his family as well as our friends Denis and Jon. My belly has been growing bigger and bigger too, with Glenn about to make her arrival. It's been a wonderful year watching Bennett make great strides in all his developmental milestones. I'm looking forward to him becoming a big brother. Heading back to "school" next July for a year long fellowship in pediatric gynecology, but at least it'll be in Melbourne, Australia. More great times to come...
