Snow Day!

Bennett was the only one brave enough to suit up and go out to play in the snow.

The tree in the front yard looked like it was going to tip over due to the wind and the weight of the snow.
Bennett had fun playing with his monster truck in the snow.
hauling snow with his dump truck.

making snow cakes and eating them.
Glenn opted to make a fort and play in it rather than go outside. I picked her up from daycare the other day and she was in tears. She said her feet were "frozen salad". Not knowing that it was going to be this cold out I sent her to school with rubber boots and an extra pair of socks which was obviously not appropriate. As soon as I picked her up, we went immediately to the store and got some nice winter insulated boots- I felt so bad. She may now never want to go out and play in the snow again.

Happy Birthday Glenn!

I wrapped this present with 50 layers of newspaper. Glenn got tired and was a bit frusterated. Bennett gave her a hand.
Gymnastics Party

Prince Concert

Great concert- lots of fun! Prince rocked the house.

Merry Christmas!

Glenn's Christmas Concert
Holly Tree Festival- Ben's school.
Check out the tree- it's last years. We kept it on the back deck. It finally died at the end of summer but we decided to keep it and use it one more year. Yes, it wasn't the best but it was a nice red color.

Happy Birthday Joelle! 41 yrs young.

Everyone make a wish!

Taking all these trees down was a hard thing to do but a necessary one. The cherry tree's root system was affecting the structure of the front stairs and the drainage. The cedar and birch trees presented issues with the drainage system, water main, and foundation. The plum and london plane in the back were in the building envelope of our planned detached garage and parking. Some shrubs were removed as well in back to make way for a sunken patio. The entrance to Joelle's Doctor's office will be moved from the rear of the house to the side, accessed by a wheel chair accessible ramp. Six to eight months of renos scheduled by www.abstractdevelopments.com so stay tuned for more pics.
