Our trip was an eventful one. We enjoyed the ferry ride, visiting Aunt Pat and Uncle Mike in Olympia, seeing cousin Erin's new house, staying at Great Wolf Lodge, visiting Madelynn's school and having dinner with her, going to LaConner, and spending some quality time at the lake with Grandma and Grandpa.

Valentine's Day Fauxberry Pie

We thought we would make something fun for dinner on Valentine's Day. It's really a shepherd's pie in disguise. Cocoa, molasses, and barbecue sauce gave the meat inside a chocolaty color, while whipped potatoes infused with beet juice completed the deception of strawberry whipped cream. Bon appetit!
